First post ...
slightly daunting but here goes... :-)
Today is a beautiful, sunny, almost
winter Friday and our first "home day" of a busy week. Tomorrow I'm
looking forward to taking part in the Relay for Life, raising money for the
Queensland Cancer Council. So...this morning Little Miss and I got stuck in
to making a "mailbox" for our team area so that other team are able
to "post" details of their fund raising events they may be holding
whilst the relay is under way.
Our team name is "Grannies and
Grandads" which is quite fitting as our team is mostly made up of people
from our workplace - a financial planning business which specialises in
strategies for retirees and it is also quite fitting for me personally as I
will be remembering my grandparents who did not survive their battles with
cancer.
So...I was given a bit of creative
licence to do whatever I liked to make this "mailbox" and chose to go
all out granny on it!! Bring on the florals and doilies I say!! :-) So with
much 'help' from my Little Miss this is what we came up with -
So...what do you reckon? Granny enough
for you? lol
I think so... :-)
And in other news... I've sorta kinda
been wanting (ok, I'm absolutely desparate for) an iPhone/iPad. Have
been loving seeing how other people can use things like instagram and get
really amazing filters on their photos...but...I'm trying to just be happy with what I've got so...
I did a little searching online....
And found a new
LOVE..../http://pixlr.com/o-matic/
Both free and fun I am loving what
this site can do with photos and then I can just save them on my computer and
use them as I like :-)
Simple filters can really make your photos look so
crisp and clear...
So many to choose from... creative heaven!!
Loving it and looking forward to
using it a LOT from now on :-)
Well that's me for today...
Off to rest up for tomorrow...walking
on and off from 3pm till 9am Sunday
morning...will give me a kickstart to one of my many resolutions - exercise
more!!
But more on resolutions another
time...
Stay smiling
Tish x
